Interesting podcast Dr Park. Thank you. So what is the protocol in the case where a sleep apnea treatment (CPAP or oral appliance) has been effective for treating the sleep apnea itself (according to the AHI measured during a sleep study), but sleep disturbances accompanied by one or more of the GI conditions you mentioned continue? Do you assume UARS and then try one or more surgical solutions? I’m guessing that it would be difficult to get insurance to pay for those operations without a diagnosis of sleep apnea.
Thanks again for the work you do and the information you provide.
