Even my wife, who almost certainly has OSA, refused to go for a sleep study and says, "I could never wear a mask." I harrassed her until she finally asked her GP. The GP wanted to schedule a sleep study but my wife refused. I have three female friends who are taking SSRIs. All three have narrow jaws and recessed chins and are overweight and constantly look "worn" and like to "sleep in" on days off from work. I have asked them to be screened for sleep disordered breathing and each comments, "I have doctors who are looking after me." The medical profession needs to step up and make SDB screening a standard part of any physical exam. On this health problem, they have a very poor performance as professionals.
